What is all this about Kashmir..??

Ever since I remember, Kashmir was an integral part of free India. But in recent past few years, I am forced to believe that India is trying to acquire Kashmir from some other country. Why are our politicians listening so much from separatists like Mirwaiz and Yasin Malik. If they are entitled to this special attention then why do we treat separatists from Orrisa and Andhra Pradesh differently ? Why can't we give some special powers as Article 356 to these Maoists too ?

Why so much hype for Kashmir? If its an Indian state why can't we treat every one in that state as per normal rules of India ? With due regards to suffering of people of Kashmir, I still believe they are responsible for what they are suffering from. If they really want to get away from India, I would personally welcome that move as this will ease up lives of everyone involved. We can hope that there will be no more bloodshed, no more firing on the roads and people will live there lives peacefully.

I think either it should be dealt by giving complete control to Indian Army or allowing people of Kashmir to choose their options. Too much of media focus on this case hence creating more problems for people involved. Media too act a bit responsibly and handle this case more delicately.

History:

The kashmir problem exists even before your and my birth. If you know the history, India was never a single big country. After independence several states joined India (thanks to then home minister Vallabhbhai Patel). The home minister successfully integrated other states like H'bad, Junagarh and lot many. The task of integrating kashmir was given to Nehru just because he was kashmiri. As the country was divided on the basis of religion, kashmir should have gone to Pak. But the King was Hindu (Hari Singh) and he decided to remain independent. Immediately after independace pak attacked kashmir so the King rushed to India for help. The home minister said India can't help unless kashmir becomes part of India. So Hari Singh hurriedly signed the agreement and merged kashmir to India with some conditions. He didn't take into account the opinion of people because there was no time (as pak army was marching ahead). The agreement had special provision under article 370 of Indian constitution. Although its a part of India, its not like any other state. It will have seperate flag, seperate currency, seperate supreme court, seperate election commision and so on. India was supposed to take care of defence and foreign policy matter. So in short in all respect it was almost like a seperate country.

Internationalization:

The issue was internationalized because of Nehru's stupidity. When India was winning the war he went to UN and it ordered a ceasefire and armed forces told to maintain status quo. By that time pak had captured some part of kashmir (today we called pak occupied kashmir). So for the current state of kashmir Nehru's policy was responsible to a greate extent.

Current political problem:

Today there are 3 political parties in kashmir: National conference, Peoples democratic party (PDP) and seperatist.

The National conference wants the pre 1963 status i.e. more autonomy to the state including seperate prime minister, supreme court and election commision but want to remain in India.

The PDP goes few steps further and wants seperate flag, currency, demilitarization so that its almost like a seperate state.

The other party is seperatist who wants azadi and aiming to merge it to pak. This is the most dangerous party as it created divide between people and Indian army by blakmailing and creating circumstances.

Required action plan:

The first action should be to crush the seperatist by using every dirty tricks like assasinating the leaders(most imp Geelani). This will invite criticism from all quarters. For this requires a tough prime minister like Indira Gandhi.

The next action is ore difficult. Restore the kashmiri pandits and other Hindu population there, build the confidence in people. The congress or BJP should win the state elections there. And last the govt. with 2/3 rd majority in centre is required for deleting the article 370 from the constitution of India. Once it is done the National conference and PDP will be automatically die (if not kill them). The next step is to create employment in the state so that youth will not join terrorist organizations.

This issue needs to be solved with iron hand just like we did in punjab and the country needs to prepare for bloodbath.

The kashmir problem can be solved my dear.

I am surprised to know about the history of KASHMIR....but ever since I am bornm..I was told that KASHMIR bleongs to INDIA. Infact I can still identify J & K in maps which we used to have in our school days..doesn't matter whther political or physical maps..

Anyways..U r correct that if people staying in KAshmir wants to get seperated from our country..they should by now..must have left our country..and better stay in pakistan...I don't think they deserve KASHMIR at all..for any reasons..X Y Z...
This is my personal experience, during recent visit to KASHMIR, we found that people have written on their walls...INDIANS and DOGS are not allowed...
and in the name plates outside their houses...after the house no..they mention ISLAMABAD..

How shameless..these people..are...I HATE them for betraying US...They are ditching the ocuntry which provided them FOOD, CLOTH and SHELTER.
