Dreams..!!

Dreams are something we all see. We used to dream in our childhood, during our school days, college days, when we joined our first job and so on...

As we grow up or dreams keeps on changing, the milestones start becoming bigger, tougher and meaner. We keep on evolving and so does our dreams.

What happens when we are not able to match our own expectations or when our dreams shatters. It feels like end of life, as if you we wrong all along the journey and nothing else matters now.

What should we do then?
  • should we lose all hopes
  • stop dreaming
  • go in exile
  • step up, pick up a new dream and start again
I would say, why not start again.

Dreams helps a person in setting his ambitions and aims in life. Then one spends life and his time in life chasing it, making efforts to make that dream a reality. He might fail sometimes, succeed sometimes.

Not everything we dream is a reality but we still dream, isn't it?

So why stop dreaming and as Steve Jobs once said, sooner or later all the dots will get connected and you will see the entire story.

Keep dreaming, Keep walking the journey of life..!!

Cry for only bruises and stitches....!!

In this lovely journey called life we meet so may people. I am not including parents and siblings as they are out of scope here in this. We know them by many names such as friends, good friends, best friends, neighbors, colleagues, people you come across while travelling to and fro to office etc etc. Many like to help anyone and everyone in as much as ways possible. So are the people around who take to advantage of these as much as possible. They will come to you, befriends with you, use you to their best and then part ways as if they never met you. Unfortunately this breed of users are now in abundance.

Although people should take lessons from every incidence like this, but there are fools who tend to keep on helping people even after being backstabbed. I would name these kind as emotional idiots who are not learning anything from whatever happened to them in past. I would never say that stop helping people and stop being reason for a little smile on their faces (I know it feels great to see that smile) but one should slowly and gradually learn to read people and their wicked minds. Remember not everyone who smiles is your well wisher, it can be and it is most of the time a devil waiting to kill your soul and suck humanity and kindness out of your heart.

One should learn to leave people in their pain and try not to hop every time to help them out. If they are in pain, its mostly because they are worth it. This may not be true all the time, but why to take risk and screw up your own life for someone one else’s happiness. Just be selective even while trying to help any freaking person around. Gone are the time when you will do good for others and receive at least a smile. In today’s world you could be branded as a moron even for helping others. So learn to be selfish and be safe and happy. With all due respect (whatever they deserve) to everyone around (as if I really do care)

This reminds me of one of the beautiful lines I am loaning from one of my friend…

Cry for only bruises and stitches....not for bastards and bitches..!!

School days....!!

Gone are the days when we used to look forward to new academic sessions. The excitement of reading all the stories of our books as soon as we get them. The days when the school reopened in July and we settled at our new desks and benches. When we used to chase one another in the corridors and returned drenched in sweat. We never required an water purifier at that time. We never complained for air conditioner not working properly. We were never afraid of going out in sun and playing for the whole day.

When a single games period in the week's time table was awaited more eagerly than the lunch break. Playing always superseded the hunger for food. The sports day, annual day used to take one full month of preparations and we used to have fun doing that.

We used to study,  enjoy, played, win few games, lose few but still we returned happy everyday.

I used to wonder when will I start working and earning....and now I wonder why did I wished to work and earn..those were better days with no timelines, no targets, no appraisals and no expectations.

I badly miss you my school days....!!

A mixed feeling...!!

I never belong to a category who is very happy to come to office for any thing on any given day. I prefer to work as per my wish, in my style keeping in mind the timelines given, but not in the traditional 9 to 6 orthodox style. But today when I came back to office after a gap of around two weeks, it was a different feeling altogether. One bit of me was happy to be here while other was not so happy.

Last two weeks were crazy for me, nothing was fixed, no schedule, sleep was missing as peace inside mind was missing. Body's internal cycle went for a toss, late nights and early mornings, errant eating patterns along with all type of junk being dumped into my stomach as food. News of few people leaving us at job front and an uncertainty of what next will come.

When I reached office, it was like coming back to place where I belong to, but the bad part was that so many things were missing. I missed someone who used to be there everyday, his comments, his jokes, his teasing comments, his guidance, the fun time we used to have, but on the other hand I was feeling good to be back with my guys all around me. Those leg pulling sessions, pseudo working..sometimes really working, conference room gossips and all.

The day ended with a session of match watching with present and ex-colleagues. Enjoyed that too, reminded me of college days when we all used to go out for movies together. Now I am trying to settle down from inside of my mind with what I am left with.

This is what we call as life, full of unexpected events and lacking few expected events....still it moves on..!!

Relationships...The Smart Way..!!

Trust me, over the past few years I’ve learned more about the value of relationships than I could possibly ever imagine. Thank you all to those who encouraged, uplifted, and most importantly listened…truly listened to whatever I uttered.

Conversely, thank you all too those who did the exact opposite of the above. Without you…I would not had been the person I am today.

The idea of rebound relationships is so ingrained into the way we think about dating that it just seems natural to look for one after a breakup. There's something to be said for getting back in the saddle, choosing a partner when your judgment is clouded usually does more harm than good overall. If you want to get over your ex fast, there are better ways to do it.

The first step to keeping yourself from doing something you'll regret is to take an honest look at what you're feeling and understand how those feelings can lead you places you'd rather not go. A lot of times we just miss the companionship and look for someone to fill the gap in our schedule and distract us from the fact that our heart's just been broken. In that case, make a point of finding a social time-filler that doesn't involve romance.

The best thing you can do to avoid getting involved with someone who's all wrong for you is stick to your standards. In fact, go ahead and raise them a little just to add a safety buffer. If the person you're thinking about dating is less kind, less intelligent, less anything that you'd normally want, stay away.

When we look for someone to rebound with, we need someone fast. Normally We don't have time to waste looking for someone we really click with, so we tend to latch on to someone we already know and have at least some rapport with. It might be a close friend, a co-worker, even someone who works at the grocery store down the street. If you find yourself falling for someone you've never been the least bit attracted to before, stop and think about what's really going on here.

Instead of filling your time with go-nowhere dates, get out and make some new friends (that's friends, not lovers. There's a difference.) Get involved in something you've always wanted to do but never had time for. Whatever you do, don't sit around pining for your ex or scouring the bookstore shelves for self help books.

Even if your not sobbing into your pillow every night, the end of a relationship will naturally make you feel a little bummed out and low on energy. Take that into account and try not to start any major projects for a few weeks. Instead, treat yourself to some time out to do something you enjoy.

Of course, not every rebound relationship ends up a disaster. If you're lucky, you'll have a fun fling. If you do decide to get involved with someone after a breakup, though, make sure you've taken a little off by yourself and you're not lowering your standards.

Bottom line : While we should try hard prevent broken relationships, rebound dates gone wrong are much easy to avoid

Visiting the memory lane...!!

I am back to Bangalore after a gap of around two years on a very short trip. The moment I landed here, I could feel happiness inside me. I was really happy to be here. Met few old buddies, enjoyed the time spent with them and felt like I was away from my home for so long.

I am feeling nostalgic ever since I landed, although its just two years but still..what a feeling. Met one new member of our gang, she is too young to be more expressive n terms of spoken and written language but she was lovely. I played with that little angel for around an hour and couldn't realise that how time flew away. Tomorrow is a wedding of one more friend and I am looking forward to meet many more friends over there.

Wish I could visit this place and meet them all more frequently...!!

Is PVR worth visiting and that too after spending this much money…..??

I went yesterday with my friends to watch a newly released movie at PVR, ambience mall, Gurgaon. This was supposed to be a fun time out for us. But turned out to be a stressful experience. The video quality was pathetic, sound also too bad to bear. One of our friend had a headache on watching this poor performance. I am not sure it was because of bad movie or bad projection of movie or both. But we couldn’t bear it. We complained to the service manager of PVR who came and after much requested tried to accept that there is some problem with the show.

But he said he can do nothing, instead offered all of us tickets for any other movie we wanted. We were already pissed off with the experience we had and were in no mood to watch any movie again. Even one of our friend walked out of the theatre.

Although the manager offered us the tickets, this is not what we expect from something like PVR. Everyone going there spends hell lot of money to watch movie in these multiplexes. And see what we get in return. The quality of movies which we get by road side illegal vendors  is lot better than what we saw yesterday at PVR.

These guys should really think that money which people are spending on purchasing the tickets is not earned so easily and should value the time and money of everyone. We went for a fun filled evening that was really screwed by those guys.

This experience forces me to think if these multiplexes are worth visiting…??

The Day that was....

On contrary to this week, the day was pretty excellent. Time really flied. The week-end still is expected to be a fun filled one, the day was awesome. The celebrations started bang at 00:00 Hrs bang with scraps, calls, SMSs, few bumps, kicks, cake and ended with cake all over me in next one hour. Then came few games of darts with flatmate that continued upto 4.30 Hrs and I lost all of them :)

After I got up from sleep it again started with wonderful breakfast and again lots n lots of calls, scraps and SMSs.I was flooded with wishes. The whole day at office was also full of wishes. The evening was something which I never expected. We started partying at 20.30 Hrs at a friend's office. This session was full of fun, jamming, guitar, singing and some really awesome performances. We started from there and after trying at HHI landed at Someplace Else @ Park. It was already 23:45 Hrs by then.

Then again it was a surprise waiting. It was again cake cutting ceremony followed by the cake painting competition where I was the canvas. Everyone showed their painting skills. We were joined by few people partying over there. The people who took me there were all awesome. They partied till 2.30 Hrs again and we left only when Sampy was declared closed for the night. Then we all went for dinner at one of our usual late night food joint, the famous Sharma Dhaba. We all had lovely food over there and discussions were on till 04:00 Hrs. That session also consisted of few friendly bumps, rewinding of few old memories, photo sessions, food and discussions on anything and everything. We finally left the place at 04:30 Hrs and again on reaching back there was a game of dart waiting for us.

Although this was the first time I was not with my family but my friends made this day an unforgettable one for me. This day went away to fast but I will relish this for many days and years to come.

I am already having invites for next few days to continue this celebration. Wishes in form of Calls/scraps/SMSs are still pouring in till the time I am writing this :)

Road – Pic - Trip

Few days back it was a lazy weekend approaching when I got an invite from Jamy for lunch at his place on Sunday afternoon which I happily accepted. Any invite from Jamy is meant to be accepted unconditionally as it is always bound to be a fun session. Every time I had been to his place, he is always ready with surprises and we had all enjoyed every time.

I was joined by Opium and KG for that lunch. We had a splendid round of Rajma-Rice-Curry along with Raita. All this was followed by a round of mango delicacy courtesy KG. We all were relaxing after that awesome treat, sting when we had an idea of going out for a road trip. Opium opted out owing sleeping disorders of his but rest of us three proceeded towards an unknown destination .

IMG_4955We crossed people enjoying an careless evening at Maidan and Victoria Memorial as we proceeded towards our unknown destination.

IMG_4964 IMG_4966

From there we headed towards second Hoogly bridge with an intention to have a drive at highway. I was especially excited as this was the first time I was going to those places in my stint at Kolkata.

IMG_4973Crossed toll bridge and continued to drive towards Delhi on NH06 although KG wanted to drive towards Mumbai but Jamy smilingly turned down his repeated request.

IMG_4979

The view all around was very refreshingly green and lovely reminding me of one of my older trips to country sides.

By the time we reached Kona expressway it had already started raining and we were enjoying each and every moment of that.

IMG_4990  IMG_4994

By this time it was getting dark and we were also feeling hungry so we decided to give rest to our engines and cylinders to cool off.

IMG_5002And then it was time for Begun & Aloo Bhaja along with cups of tea served hot complimented with Parle-G.

IMG_5000 IMG_5001

After finishing all this we decided to take a U turn and started our journey back towards our dens. It was raining all the way back adding to the pleasure of the journey.

Enjoyed this Road-Pic-Trip to the most and looking forward to so many detoxifying and revitalising moments like this soon with you guys…!

Satyam now thinks Technically Mahindra's way!

Finally an owner for Satyam after so much of drama, hatred, broken hearts and shattered dreams of people who had believed in a dream called Satyam. When this story of Mr Raju broke out, it shattered the image of corporate India across world and the employees were left clueless of their fate. Their credit cards got cancelled, their loans were put on hold by banks and so on.

Finally Tech Mahindra today offered a bid to purchase shares of Satyam @ 58 Rupees each. This would have given a sigh of relief to hundreds of employees who were worried about how to pay their debts like home and car loans apart from fulfilling the responsibilities of their dependents.

Its time now when we should forget the past and encourage everyone to fight together in bringing back the faith and confidence in our IT industry. Together we can fight back with much of ease and sail through this bad time. Ups and downs are part of life and this stands true for the IT industry also. In boom we and our fellows had enjoyed a hike of three folds or a two times salary while changing our jobs. Similarly in this time of distress we have to stay strong and be together so that this bad patch is also over and we can enjoy the fruits of our patience.

I agree that this is a time of recession but also believe that we should keep our faith in our abilities. This recession thing is fuelled by our minds also. Whenever we are together, the topics of our discussion related to recession. I wonder if companies across world were earning so much for past so many years, how come a recession of one year shattered their ability to grow?

I believe this takeover will help in regaining the honour of Satyam to its previous heights.

My friend "Nawab"

To You My Friend.........

I would like to take you through the life line of my friend, code name "Nawab". He is one of the best friends I ever had. One of the most prominent features of Nawab is that he loves to fall into troubles. He never invites it, but the trouble keeps on following him.

I met this guy first in my PG college. The day I met him I never had a good impression of him in my first meeting with him. But I never new what clicked between us and now we are inseparable. The chemistry we had was magnificent, all the batchmates were amazed by the understanding we both had. There were several attempts to break all these equations but thank god it all failed.

Nawab has got very peculiar nature and that is why I like him. This can't be expressed in words , sentences or paragraphs, but I like him. He can be at any time very moody, very short tempered, very short sighted and extremely lavish and all of sudden he is like very sincere, a great thinker and a perfect investor. His persona keeps me confused most of the time I met him. He is all together a new man each time I meet him. Although now a days we are unable to meet face to face regularly, but we still keep in touch over phone (I must admit a large portion of my cellphone bills are his courtesy).

I would write on things which relates to both of us and so would not like to peep into his past life. Once we started together our lives at college in second semester, we took very short time to get accustomed with each other. We were able to feel each other's mind even without being told anything about that. He was far better in using this technology than myself and still is.

A girl came to his life in college (which I was suspicious about but came to know just few months ago) which changed his life forever. Since she was also a friend of mine I never got any clear cut indication that some thing is brewing between them. He joined some computer classes where she was already a registered student.

He always kept this a secret and I am also amazed how I never could smell that! Now I feel that if I was aware of all the things that time, hopefully they both must had been together till date. I sometimes take my inability to come to a conclusion responsible for the break up they had finally. Now they are separated but I know that she has now become a part of his life which can't be thrown out of life so easily.....

During the end of college years Nawab's sister got married and she got shifted from their home town to her husband's place. I still feel I missed the marriage of my sister as I was not able to attend the one of the happiest times of my friend and his family.

This also transformed the life of Nawab, as he was left alone at his home town with no family members and with lots and lots of friends. Some of them were good and some not so good. It was a turning point for him also as he has to face the real world on his own. He joined a college as a teacher and tried to take his life on tracks. For a few days everything went on smooth, he purchased a bike on his own. He was very happy when he informed me about his new passion, his bike.

Then all of sudden he disappeared, I lost contact with him. And he never contacted me. All of sudden I felt like having lost one of my body part. I was addicted to hearing him every day. I don't know why he did all this but those days were very hard for me also , since I was looking for a job and one of my best friend disappeared. He changed his contact numbers, my all efforts to catch him failed.

After few months he gave me a very shocking news about didi. Afterward things kept on deteriorating. He has to shell apart a huge amount of money, he left his job and was very depressed. This continued for around six months. Meanwhile I got my current job and started my life again. I tried to convince him to come over here and start from scratch, to which he agreed after a very hard pushing from me (and I think from his ex-friend).

He came here, got a job with a call center within a week (from his experiences I got a true insight of the life at call center). Although he was with a very good call center, I know he will never be happy over there and same happened. Because for a person with such a fluctuating and mystic personality, it was next to impossible to face all the discrimination he faced at his job (for cast, gender and religion). He finally decided to move out and I am thankful to god again that he has got a good job now. And that too with one of the best companies in IT industry (he has to sit at home for one month, that too without any salary)..

This situation reminds me of a song (which is incidentally his dialer tone now a days)...

Ajnabi shahar ke ajnabi raste, meri tanhayee par muskurate rahe.....

Main bahut door tak youn hi chalta raha, main bahut door tak youn hi chalta raha,

Tum bahut der tak yaad aate rahe........

To be continued.........

NAWAB Continued...

I am back with an update on my friend... he is back and is in sync with me. But again in some problem as usual (as I said he has got an affinity for problems). But still I am happy that I got him back. Little more toughened , little more purified, little more sanitized and lot more rock solid. He had learnt a lot from LIFE again and now he's evolving as an expert day by day. For me he will always be the same guy whom I met first few years back despite of all the evolutions he is or will undergo.
